So the college drama begins and at the center of it is Nick Saban, and the University OF Alabama. The drama began when Offensive Coordinator Lane Kiffin, decide to part ways with  The University OF Alabama Football team and seek a head coaching job with FAU (FLORIDA ATLANTIC University). There is one problem with that, Alabama is going to play in the National Title game against Clemson on january 9th in Tampa FL.  This will be a rematch of last years Championship Game.  Alabama is seeking its 5th National Title. The Tide might not get that 5th title with all that drama around the team due to the departure of Lane Kiffin. On Tuesday Nick Saban  said Lane Kiffin will not be in the press box or around the  Crimson Tide team helping out at the national championship game next Monday night. Kiffin stated that he and the University were looking into the possibility of him coaching in the teams last game, but Saban quickly shot that idea down during a teleconference with the media,  “That’s not something we’re interested in pursuing,” Saban said, adding he wasn’t even sure it was allowable per NCAA rules. Saban did decline to go into full detail about  Kiffin’s  departure.

Though ditching Lane Kiffin at this point may be dangerous for the University of Alabama, Kiffin has been the play caller for the Tide since 2014 and has gained a lot of his players trust and respect and the main factor in this is they knew his style of offense he ran and with this sudden drastic may mess with the minds of the players on offense. So did Alabama hinder their chances at winning their 5th national title and Nick Saban’s  6th title, time will tell so lets all tune in on Monday at 9pm in Tampa Fl when Clemson and Alabama will face-off for the second time in consecutive years.
