Breaking News: Gen Flynn National Security Adviser Resigns2 minute read
Flynn has resigned after being on the hot seat
President Trump has his first official resignation under his administration. Unfortunately it is highly respected retired General Michael Flynn who was the National Security Adviser to the President who stepped down. Flynn was under the intense scrutiny for rumors spreading that he discussed the lifting of US sanctions with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the transition. Which isn’t against any rules per say, that was his job. But it was that Flynn didn’t give vice President Pence the complete story of what was discussed. In the end President Trump asked for Flynn’s resignation due to the breach of trust.
I am saddened to see Flynn go, he is a great man and Patriot, and stood by Trump throughout the campaign.
President Trump has appointed Lt. General Joseph Keith Kellogg, Jr. as Acting National Security Advisor. No word on if this is permanent appointment or not. Trump has also not made direct comment on this as of yet.
