This seems to somehow be an unpopular opinion among my fellow Conservatives. But I find it completely frustrating and damaging to our overall cause when I see Conservative political commentators with such large followings being complete hypocrites on social media and no one calling them out on it.
When something is posted on social media, sometimes people seem to forget that past statements are easily accessed and able to be compared to other statements made on the same subject.
The COVID-19 vaccine is a topic that is mostly agreed upon among top Conservatives with most agreeing that it was rushed to market too quickly. The long term effects are completely unknown and most studies are showing that it could in fact be dangerous.
If you search the term “vaccine” on some of the most known popular Conservative commentators social media accounts, you’ll find that most of them say the vaccine is deadly. Despite this, they still support the re-election of Donald Trump in the coming 2024 Presidential election.
So the question is, why are most Conservatives giving Trump a pass on the vaccine?
One tweet they say the vaccine is deadly, although Trump himself still says the vaccine is “safe and effective.” Another tweet they call out big pharma for rushing the vaccine and call it a “money grab,” although Trump appointed former big pharma executive Alex Azar to run Health and Human Services. They say the vaccine was rushed to the market, although Trump himself put Operating Warp-Speed into effect.
I posted a thread on Twitter the other day exposing this hypocrisy among some of my peers.

At the end of the day, we aren’t talking about a policy of Trump that we can disagree on, and that’s that. This isn’t about gas prices. This is about an experimental drug that was sold as a vaccine, and sold as safe and effective. Trump says the vaccine is one of his proudest accomplishments as President. If you say the vaccine is hurting people, and even killing people, how in the world can you give Trump as pass?
The individuals I called out I included in the tweets so they’d see it. Of course, they didn’t reply and they never will. Why would they respond to a small independent journalist who is calling the m out on their hypocrisy? This is something that has to be called out or else we are no better than the Liberals.
