Despite Biden saying there would be no more border wall built, the administration is finishing a section of the wall in Arizona to “protect lives.”

The Yuma, Arizona is said to be one of the most dangerous crossings used by illegal immigrants to enter into the United States.

According to the DHS, what makes the Yuma border extremely dangerous to not only the illegals crossing, but to the lives of the border agents, is the Morelos dam and the Colorado river.

“Due to the proximity to the Morelos Dam and the swift moving Colorado River, this area presents safety and life hazard risks for migrants attempting to cross into the United States where there is a risk of drownings and injuries from falls. This area also poses a life and safety risk to first responders and agents responding to incidents in this area,”the Department of Homeland Security reports.

In a 2020 interview with NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro, Biden was asked if he will finish the border wall President Trump had started.

“There will not be another foot of wall constructed in my administration,” Biden stated.

Well, Chief Raul Ortiz of the Border Patrol tweeted yesterday that they have been funded to finish 4 gaps on the Yuma sector.

Press Secretary Jean-Pierre was asked about finishing President Trump’s wall, and of course, they can’t admit that’s what they’re doing.

“We’re not finishing the wall. We’re cleaning up the mess the prior administration left behind,” Jean-Pierre said.
