Some of you may remember my days as “Dj Bootleg,” and have been following me since I had my music blog, “DjBootleg.com.” For those of you who do not, I was the #1 rated DJ in Tampa, FL – according to Reverbnation.

I was deep inside the independent Hip-Hop scene for over a decade. I released over 50 mixtapes over that time among many other projects. I worked with hundreds of independent rappers from across the world.

To make a long story short, after doing it for over a decade, I got tired of the industry, and moved onto other passions. One being this website and the world of politics…

Recently, I reconnected with one of the main artists I worked with back in the day, 9Gotti. Gotti is someone I not only consider a brother but also a “day one.”

After catching up with him, I felt that same creative fire reignite inside of me that I felt back in the day. I decided to jump back in. But shortly after returning as Dj Bootleg, I wanted to try my hand at actually rapping.

I feel like I’ve found my passion. I enjoy writing, learning, improving, recording, engineering the audio. I’ve only been doing it for about a month and a half, and I’ve improved so much even in that small amount of time.

The thing that makes me unique from the crowd is every bar (lyric) I write, is authentic. I will never rap about something I know nothing about.

My Spotify just surpassed 3,000 monthly listeners, and broke 530 followers.
