The mind-blowing story behind the Alex Jones “Gay Frogs” conspiracy6 minute read

The Gay Frogs Conspiracy | Atrazine in Water
In the fourth episode of Staircase: Conspiracies, we discuss the conspiracy theory that Alex Jones highlighted many years ago, is the pesticide Atrazine in o…
What is Atrazine?
Atrazine is a powerful chemical used on farms across the country. It’s used to control certain types of weeds and other types of broadleaf. What if I told you that this has actually been found in our tap water?
Back in 2016, Alex Jones of Infowars said the following, “I don’t like them putting chemicals in the water that turn the freakin frogs gay!”
This clip has now become an infamous meme across social media. Although it’s a bit harder to find nowadays due to the hardcore censorship of Alex Jones, I’m sure you’ve seen the clip.
But the way Alex ranted about the topic, was very theatrical – which he is known for – so it isn’t a surprise that most wrote it off as a joke. But I’m about to lay out the case that Atrazine is found in our water, and does alter sexuality…
Alex Jones is known for his wild conspiracy theories. The mainstream media loves to make fun of some of the more outlandish theories Jones makes. However, from all the research I’ve done on the conspiracies Alex has put out over the years, they’ve all been damn near spot on. The only time I’ve seen Alex Jones get something wrong is when he gets a small factoid such as a date wrong by a few years. Most of his theories are based on either leaked, declassified documents or even actual scientific studies. And this one is no different.
The source Alex was using in that rant was a study done in 2002 by Dr. Tyrone Hayes, an endocrinologist at the University Of California, Berkeley.
The study was conducted in a state-of-the-art lab – so in other words this wasn’t some crackpot study. They had several male frogs that were exposed to Atrazine for the entirety of their lives. What was found is very shocking… Dr. Hayes’ study revealed that exposing these amphibians to this toxic chemical actually turned male frogs, into females….
What I mean is they theoretically turned into hermaphrodites. The males were not only having sex with other males, but the males were developing full-blown eggs!
But why does this matter? Who cares about frogs being gay? This is a weed killer, nobody is drinking this stuff… right??
Wrong….
As I said, Atrazine is massively used across the United States. Roughly 80 million pounds of it is used per year.
Let me put it this way… you’ve probably heard or seen those commercials by law firms talking about Roundup, the mosquito killer, and if you used it and have been diagnosed with cancer to call them… well that stuff is just to kill mosquitoes outside your home… this is stuff is directly sprayed onto crops by HUGE farms.
Another horrifying fact that the study revealed is this all occurred at Atrazine levels as low as 0.1 parts per billion (ppb), 30 times lower than levels allowed in drinking water by the EPA (3 ppb).
A company called Syngenta – which is the leading global provider of agricultural science and technology. So they research the effects of the stuff that is sprayed on our food and crops. Well, they contracted Dr. Hayes to study the effects of Atrazine. After he found that this stuff is extremely dangerous, he was really pressured to manipulate his findings, “Eventually they asked me to manipulate the data in ways that were inappropriate to try and make it go away.”After the study was published. His research funding was cut and he ultimately had to resign.
Then, the EPA conducted a study on their own. And they reported, “although there is sufficient evidence to formulate a hypothesis that Atrazine does have adverse effects, there is currently not enough data to confirm or deny the hypothesis.” If that isn’t the most non-answer ever, I don’t know what is.
To make matters worse the EPA then brought on a company to help with the study… and that company was… yup you guessed it, Syngenta. The same company that already did a study with Dr. Hayes and when they didn’t like the findings, tried to silence him! There are documents showing that Syngenta activity tried to find ways to discredit Dr. Hayes using the shadiest tactics I’ve ever seen.
There is so much nonsense surrounding this by the mainstream media and governmental agencies like the EPA. And this is where the conspiracy for me, comes in. Basically, they are saying that Dr. Hayes’ study wasn’t good enough and nobody has been able to recreate his findings. However, there has been many people who have, and who completely back up his study and findings.
So to wrap this up. Why would they do this? Well, the theory is, it’s for population control. The more sterile men, the fewer people, the easier to control…
