Democrat who led impeachment sees Trump acquittal as “success”1 minute read

Lead House impeachment manager Jamie Raskin (D-MD) says the impeachment was a “success”. This is after President Trump was acquitted for a second time in the Senate.

While speaking with Chuck Todd on “Meet The Press”, Raskin told the MSNBC host that the acquittal was a “dramatic success.”

I think it was a dramatic success in historical terms,” Raskin said. “We got seven Republicans and if you look at the ten Republicans in the House who joined us, it was by far the most bipartisan decision,” Raskin continued.

I think that we successfully prosecuted and convicted him in the court of public opinion and in the court of history.”
