Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov basically retired after his victory at UFC 254 over Justin Gaethje due to a promise he made to his mother after losing his father. However, interestingly enough he has not forfeited the title or been asked to relinquish the belt by the UFC.
UFC President Dana White seems to think Khabib has at least one more fight in him, and that he can convince him to do it. If anyone can talk Khabib into it, it’s Dana White.
White and Nurmagomedov met yesterday for a closed-door meeting.
