This is the first time I’ve ever actually agreed with the Democratic Speaker of the House from California Nancy Pelosi. In a bill that the Democrats have produced in response to COVID-19, they have included some verbiage to support medical marijuana.
“I don’t agree with you that cannabis is not related to this,” Pelosi said during a press briefing in the Capitol. “This is a therapy that has proven successful.”
Pelosi is going to bat for keeping this verbiage in the bill in support of medical marijuana. Now the argument from my fellow Conservatives and Republicans is that marijuana has nothing to do with COVID-19 relief. That may be the case; however, I’m an avid supporter of marijuana, not only for medical use but for recreation use as well. So anyone pushing for marijuana rights, I’m all for that.
