What is Gab? – Gab is a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based social networking service formerly based in Austin, Texas. It was created as an alternative to Twitter and promotes itself as supporting free speech. It allows its users to read and write messages of up to 300 characters, called “gabs”. The site also offers multimedia functionality. Gab was founded and crowdfunded to give us the freedom to express our thoughts without fear of shadow-banning or even an outright ban for our political views!
Recently, I was shadow-banned on Twitter. I violated no rules – so why would that be? Hmm, well it’s pretty clear. We have higher ups in Twitter being caught on tape talking about shadow-banning Conservatives on Twitter. So we know what’s going on. Millions of Libertarians and Conservatives alike getting shadow-banned as well. And sometimes outright banned for what they call “hate-speech”. Alex Jones was banned recently, he was on his way to 1 million followers. Jones pressed Twitter on why exactly he was banned. They referred him to a Periscope he did the previous day on Capital Hill. In the live stream Infowars’ Alex Jones was confronting the CNN reporter who literally lobbied against him to get his website banned and thrown off of social media sites. Twitter, saw it differently.
We as Conservatives and even Libertarians should not stand for these type of communist tactics. We — in this great nation — have the right to free speech. But apparently, when you login to Twitter, you no longer do.
