President Trump: “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.” Is war with North Korea imminent?
During a press briefing about the opioid epidemic earlier, the President responded to his North Korean counterpoint, Kim Jong-un.
“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”
The “fire and fury” Trump is speaking about is our nuclear weapons. We are the world leader in Nuclear power. North Korea has just recently been able to figure out how to use Nuclear weapons, but still struggle with the potential of reaching The United States.
It’s also important to note that we successfully intercepted a test missile that mocked those of North Korea’s a few months ago.
Regardless of how easy it would be to destroy North Korea if they choose to try and launch missiles at us, it is not something any American wants to see happen, that we can all agree on. But I do think it is important for President Trump to stand up for us Americans when threatened by other countries.
