A reliable source tells us that new emails will be released in the coming days showing that then attorney general Loretta Lynch used an alias to cover up her identity in emails about the tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton.
The emails will show that Lynch used the alias “Elizabeth Carlisle”. This is not illegal of course but why use a fake name? Obviously Lynch and Clinton knew what they were doing was sketchy, and there was a possibility of the emails being leaked.
The tarmac meeting occurred at the end of an FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of an illegal private email server while serving as secretary of state and just as the presidential election was intensifying last summer.
Emails that are to be released from the Justice Department also show that Herwig, whose title was counselor to the attorney general at the time, helped manipulate the first media statement released in responseto inquiries about the now infamous tarmac meeting.
Prior to the tarmac meeting, Lynch would have been the main deciding factor in whether to pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton. But after the meeting she said she would accept the recommendation from the FBI and career prosecutors at the conclusion of their investigation.
