I’m a little concerned with our Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ stance on marijuana7 minute read

Heroin is only "slightly less awful" than weed

Help us fight censorship!

Throughout his career as a Senator and Attorney General to Alabama Jeff Sessions has been pretty vocal about his stance against not only legal marijuana but marijuana in general. In a statement to law enforcement officials in Richmond earlier this week when asked about using legal marijuana for heroin and the “opioid epidemic”. Sessions stated that marijuana is only “slightly less awful” than heroin.

I reject the idea that America will be a better place if marijuana is sold in every corner store. And I am astonished to hear people suggest that we can solve our heroin crisis by legalizing marijuana — so people can trade one life-wrecking dependency for another that’s only slightly less awful. Our nation needs to say clearly once again that using drugs will destroy your life.

To be honest, I am a little worried and upset by this. Being a smoker myself from time to time for my OCD, I don’t see anything wrong with legalizing weed, I think it’s helpful to know that those who need it for medical purposes will be able to get help from their local dispensary supplies. The use of marijuana has not yet been legalised in every state, but with time, maybe this could happen. This would be great news for anyone who suffers with any pains and conditions that medical marijuana would help them with. If you don’t live near a dispensary and medical marijuana is legal in your state/country, it may be in your best interest to do a bit of research into sites like https://www.cheapweed.ca/buy-my-weed-online/ to see what other ways there are of obtaining marijuana. Thanks to the internet, you can get pretty much anything and have it delivered to your doorstep. This could be something worth looking into.

In 2015 there were 13,000 deaths due to heroin, so you’re comparing that to marijuana with 0 weed caused deaths? Yeah, that makes sense. As long as people are being sensible and not doing things like driving after smoking then people should be allowed to buy marijuana products from places like Smokea.

I don’t want an AG going after victimless marijuana cases like years past. One in every eight prisoners locked up in prison for drugs is there for marijuana charges. Now it is important to note Sessions has also said there won’t be a war on Marijuana and we have to trust him until he shows us otherwise. I personally feel that marijuana should be much easier to access, and I don’t mean at every grocery store as he mentioned in his quote. But for someone who has OCD like myself, or someone who has chronic pain – which I have as well or even someone with an eating disorder, cancer etc. they should be able to easily go to a doctor and get a prescription. I do think we are on our way to that, which would be great for not only people but also the economy. Fewer people in prison being a burden on the tax system means a better economy, the more legal weed sold the more taxes contribute to our economy.
