With the NFL free agency set to start on March 9th at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, Many teams got a jump on the action early.

One of those team were The New York Giants, After months of speculation about their star Defensive End (DE) Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP) going out and testing free agency, they went ahead and placed the franchise tag on him.  Pierre-Paul proved to every one that he still is a top 10 defensive star in the league even after the fire work incident and multiple surgeries.  We will see how things play out between the two parties.

So here are some top name Free agents that will be on every teams radar.

1: Calais Campbell DE: Is a beast coming out of Arizona with the best season he has had since 2013, with 8 sacks and 6 passes tipped and defended made a case to be a coveted free agent this off season. Campbell who comes in at 6’8 and 300 pounds is a monster of a man, and a nightmare for the opposing offensive line. The only thing that will set him back from a big contract is the  fact that he’ll turn 31 before the start of the 2017 season, but that will not stop teams from pursuing the stud DE. Here are some teams to watch out for that will make a strong push for Campbell. The TampaBay Bucs  are among the favorites to make a strong push for Campbell, The Denver Broncos could use Campbell since he fits their 3-4 scheme. Look for the Dallas Cowboys to take a shot at Campbell as well, in their efforts to tie up any loose ends to make their run at a Super-Bowl title.

2. Desean Jackson WR:

Desean Jackson, is one of the coveted free agent wide receivers. Jackson has expressed that he would love to go back to the Philadelphia Eagles, but they would have raise his salary by 25%. The biggest push for Jackson, has came from the star QB of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jamies Winston, and Jackson has express a lot of interest back. Sources close to the situation say that expect a deal to be done to get Desean Jackson to Tampa Bay  real soon. If Jackson does not land in Tampa expect the Patriots to make him an offer and that would be dangerous for the league to have him linked up with Tom Brady.

Dont’a Hightower, ILB, Patriots: The 26-year-old stud is coming off a terrific all-around season, stamped by his game-changing play vs. Matt Ryan in Super Bowl LI. New England should want to make sure he’s not going anywhere, but the history of Bill Belichick and high-value defensive players  is unpredictable. Look out for Hightower to get a new contract by the Patriots

Martellus Bennett, TE, Patriots: Bennett will turn 30 on March 10, a day after free agency begins. He had a strong first year with New England, tallying 55 catches for 701 yards and seven TDs. He is also a coveted free agent in his position. Look for the Raiders and the steelers to go after bennett or even have him join up with his brother Michael in Seattle.

So with free agency on 48hr away the frenzy will begin. This is part one of the top free agent list.

Also look out for the Draft sheet and what position each team needs to address in the draft. Also we will address where each player will be drafted and if they fit that team.
