Jaguars fire head coach Gus Bradley1 minute read
After the 21-20 loss to the Houston Texans sunday afternoon the Jacksonville Jaguars fall to 2-12 on the season, including 9 straight losses which is the most in franchise history in a single season which marks up yet another failed season for a highly talented team. As it sits right now the Jaguars are ranked 28th on offense only averaging 18 points a game, and ranked 27th on defense. So to say something isn’t working is an understatement. Gus Bradley seems to be a great guy and the players seems to love to play for him, but his football coaching talent has yet to translate onto the field.
Bradley has the second worst winning percentage of any NFL head coach who has coached at least 50 games (per ESPN). Bradley was with the Jaguars for almost 4 seasons, and accumulated a 14-48 (.226) record.
This was supposed to be the season for the Jags, they are very talented. They have a young talented franchise quarterback in Blake Bortles, and a young talented defense. We’ll see what happens in Jacksonville, maybe it was the Bradley’s coaching all along. But if Bradley was going to turn the Jaguars around, he had plenty of time to do so.
