Veteran Rams head coach Jeff Fisher fired just after getting extension2 minute read
Just weeks after Jeff Fisher signing a big contract extension through 2018. Jeff Fisher has been a head coach in the NFL for 22 seasons. His record is atrocious with a 178–169–1 record which is tied for the most losses for any NFL coach. The Los Angeles Rams under Jeff Fisher has a record of 31-45-1 in the 5 seasons he was there. I just mentioned to Roll (our other writer here) after yesterdays horrible lost to the Falcons 42 to 14 , if he thinks Fisher is going to be gone at the end of the season. He said he didn’t think so as he just got an extension. Then the next day the Rams shock everyone with the firing of head coach Jeff Fisher.
Jeff Fisher, 58 years old I think he needs to put up the coaching hat, or at least the head coaching hat. He may have enough defensive talent that he could may land a job somewhere as a defensive coach. But we’ll see. This was a HUGE shock to see to be honest. This year was supposed to be “THE” year head coach Jeff Fisher said in the beginning of the off season. It’s rare to see a head coach firing in the middle of the year, the Rams knew what they got in a coach when they acquired Fisher, and what he had already done for them when they gave him an extension. So there has to be something else happening behind the scenes to make such a huge move like this in the season.Follow us!
