#GBvsWAS preview | Injury Report & Predictions3 minute read
The Green Bay Packers head to Washington to take on the Redskins. This will be the first time the Packers and Redskins play in Washington in 25 years. The Redskins are 5-3-1 and on a 1 game win streak, and the Packers are 4-5 on a 3 game losing streak.
The Packers desperately need a win if they want to stay in the hunt for the NFC North title. We may get a few key players back like Clay and Cook but we will see if they’re good to go closer to the game.
Packers injury report for week 11…
Guard T.J. Lang is ruled out
Linebacker Jake Ryan is ruled out
Center J.C. Tretter is out
Cornerback Damarious Randall is out
Linebacker Clay Matthews is questionable
Tight End Jared Cook is questionable
I will be tweeting live during the game tonight @Packers_Blog!
Keys to watch for….
Redskins struggle against the run…
The Skins are ranked 23rd allowing 115.2 yards per game on the ground. We just signed running back Christine Michael from the Seahawks last week. Now I doubt Mike McCarthy will give all the snaps to Michael, or even half the snaps, unfortunately James Starks will get most of the carries but I think we should have a good day on the ground. I hope we get to see what Michael’s can do…
They better protect Rodgers…
The Redskins know how to get after the quarterback. They’re tied for 6th in the league with 25 sacks so far this season. And seeing how we have 2 key offensive linemen out for this game, I’m a bit worried.
DeSean Jackson is questionable…
The star speedster wide receiver Jackson missed last week due to a shoulder injury. He was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but a full participant on Friday’s practice. So we will see if he can go around gametime.
Our wide receivers need to be on point…
Josh Norman will most likely be on Jordy Nelson, or Randall Cobb. So our young receivers like Adams and Montgomery have to play well.
Predictions…
Nicolas: Packers: 27 – Redskins 17
Roll: I belive it will be a slow first quarter with Washington scoring first and then around the 2nd Packers going to go off Rodgers gets 3 touchdowns and there defense gets a key take away this game. GB 28 – Was 21
