Part 2: Why are the NFL ratings dropping?8 minute read

Help us fight censorship!

This is part two of “The N.F.L. THE NO FUN LEAGUE”. Roll took first go at part one, he touched on his thoughts on why the NFL ratings are dropping this season. His perspective was the penalty and rule changes, ill be touching on a more political angle. Before I start if you haven’t read Roll’s part 1, you need to, it’s a fantastic article…

With that being said let’s jump into it. I can only speak from my perspective, and from what I hear from a lot of people on social media. So why is the NFL ratings dropping so low? I personally think it has a lot to do with the protesting of the national anthem, and people focusing on real world issues such as the election. I have been very vocal on the Colin Kaepernick national anthem issue. I talked about it on one of my podcasts… I think the NFL should absolutely put a stop to players sitting or kneeling during the national anthem. I know thats apart of their right as an American, but they are at work, and not to mention roll models for some young kids. I’m not able to go to work and protest, I’d be fired. The NFL does “Salute to service” every year, but then let their players protest the national anthem which is the ultimate salute to service, hmm makes sense. All of these football players kneeling during the national anthem have no idea what they’re protesting, or are “taking a stand” for a false narrative of course pushed by the mainstream media, such as black lives matter. Just last week Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans didn’t stand for the nation anthem, when he was asked after the game why he did it he said he was upset that Donald Trump won the election, although he then said “I don’t know much about politics” then why would you comment on something you don’t know much about? That’s like me saying a baseball player sucks, when I know absolutely nothing about baseball. It’s just a total disrespect to those who fought and died for our freedom. I totally respect everyone’s right to protest, but not at your job and not if what you’re protesting is false.

Now let’s take a look at another angle, real issues distracting people. We just got through a historic and probably the most important election of our history. I know personally that’s a big part of why I haven’t been watching NFL games as much as I normally do. I haven’t watched a single full game this season besides my Packers. I’ve been busy trying to make a difference through my writing, and working on spreading the truth about this election. But it’s not only me, many Americans are concerned for our country and where it would have/could have gone. We were very close to war with Russia, and would be if Hillary Clinton would have won. The fact is people are focusing on real issues and not concerned with football as much as we use to be.

So I think those are two big issues facing the NFL and the big ratings drop. Drop a comment below or take part in my Twitter poll (above) to let us know your thoughts on this!
