The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 4 Recap and Review10 minute read

Help us fight censorship!

Thank God this week wasn’t as slow and boring as the last two episodes. We’re back to seeing Rick and his crew as well as Negan and The Saviours. There wasn’t much blood and guts in this episode but I’m fine with that. This episode was mainly showing that Negan is 100% in charge and serious. So with that being said here is The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 4 Recap and Review.

Little pig, little pig, let me in!

This was such an awesome opening to the show. This was a comic book easter egg. Throughout the episode I noticed quite a bit of other easter egg comic book drops. I love when they do that!

I would not mess with that guy…

When Negan found the camcorder he said “oh I’m hoping for some freaky deaky!” I had actually forgotten all about what was on that camera. Then he played it, and I saw Rick and his beast like beard and it came back to me. But man Negan just keeps on beating down Rick’s mental state. It’s only a matter of time until Rick snaps and goes beast mode on Negan. But I don’t think we’ll see that anytime soon.

Whoa you are freaky as shit.

I laughed so hard at this scene. Father Gabrielle comes up being Negan and says “Care to pay your respects?”. And Negan is startled, then starts cracking on Gabrielle.

Also one thing you guys may have missed. Is Maggie dead? No she isn’t. If you notice when Rick, Negan, Daryl and Father Gabrielle are around the grave, Gabrielle rubs dirt off of his hands onto his pants, while doing that Rick looks over with a “good job” type look to Gabrielle. So I’m assuming Maggie is at the kingdom for medical attention and they told Negan she died so they’ll have someone on the outside, and Father Gabrielle just got done digging a ditch just to fool Negan.

Carl has giant man size balls….

I like this scene because it’s right out of the comics. When Carl threatens Negan, Negan decides that they have to many guns and he can’t have that. Negan asks where the guns are, and something you may have missed was the moment when Rick gave Carl a nasty look because of the big mistake he just did cost the crew all their guns.

Hold this…

The continuation of the breakdown of Rick’s mind is just too easy for Negan, or it’s just to much fun. Throughout the entire episode Negan made Rick hold Lucille, the same bat that Negan used to viciously beat the brains out of two of his best friends. What a mind fuck!

I just slipped my dick down your throat and you thanked me for it!

Wow! That was absolutely BRUTAL!

Rick finally showed some balls…

Near the end of the episode, after Negan finally leaves, we saw a little bit of the old Rick when Spencer starts busting Rick’s balls over all the problems and it being Rick’s fault. Rick stopped and said “if you say that again I will break your jaw, and knock all your teeth out.” “Ok?” “SAY OK!!”. Rick will break and we will see the badass Rick Grimes again, maybe sooner than we thought…

Judith isn’t mine.

The biggest takeaway from last night was when Rick told Michonne that his daughter Judith isn’t his, it’s Shanes…. That was a HUGE revelation to drop on us like that. We all knew Judith was in fact Shane’s daughter, but I didn’t expect them to reveal it like that. I really liked when Michonne was mad at Rick for giving their guns up to the Saviours, but when Rick dropped that huge revolation she quickly saw that Rick is fucked up and in a lot of pain, so she changed her tone and helped him make the bed and said she’ll “try really hard” to make this work.

Make me bullets!

At the very end of the episode Rosita knocks on Eugene’s front door, hands him the pistol she took from a walker and snuck back in to the camp and says “make me some bullets”. And the episode comes to a close.

Review: I actually really enjoyed this week’s episode, the last 2 weeks have sucked, boring as hell. I can’t wait for next week. Maybe then we’ll see if Rick finally takes a stand? And we’ll see how Eugene does with making bullets..
