The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 REVIEW & Predictions9 minute read
I’ve been waiting for this premier for what seems like a year. I was dying to know who Negan beat the hell out of. But it’s finally here and here is The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 REVIEW & Predictions w/ Pics.
Abraham died, I called it!
I have to do some self-boasting here… I called it months ago, on my Season 7 predictions. My dad said he thinks they didn’t kill anyone and was just messing with us, my cousin said he thought it would be Daryl, and I was right, haha! I knew it would be Abraham because no one else was tough enough to take a big hit and keep going, and the way they really showed Abraham and gave him so much screen time in the final episodes of season 6. But was it a good climax? I don’t really think so. I mean will this effect the crew and show? No. But I really liked Abraham so it is sad to see him go. He took it like a man though! And the “suckkkk…. my….. nuts…..” was epic!!
Bye bye Glenn. Now I was NOT expecting them to kill off two characters. That came as a shock. Then when the camera showed Glenns face, wow, just wow. I really liked how they recreated the kill scene from the comics. When Negan first whacked Glenn, then stopped and turned to the crew and said “damn, I can see this is hard for you guys…. I’m sorry, I truly am…. but like I said…. NO EXCEPTIONS!” That was incrediblely jaw dropping. Just shows how ruthless Negan really is.
No one is fucking with Negan right now.
He physiologically broke Rick in half. We’ve never seen him like that. For the past few seasons we’ve seen Rick evolve and become a complete badass. No challenge was too big. But him being humiliated in front of his crew, seeing two of his people get their brains bashed in, Negan almost making him cut his own son’s hand off, and Negan taking Daryl, Rick is broken.
I did get chills when Rick told Negan “I will kill you, not today, not tomorrow, but I will kill you”.
At first I thought for sure Negan wouldn’t actually make Rick cut his son’s arm off. But they were really building it up, so at one point I was like “omg he’s gonna do it!” But then Negan stopped his hand just as Rick is about to cut it off. He did that to show Rick and everyone that Rick is now Negan’s lap dog. And can make Rick do anything he wants.
Just when we thought it was over, we lose Daryl. Daryl gets taken by the saviours as Negan let’s the crew go. When Negan was putting Daryl into the van he looks at Rick and tells him “if you try anything, I’ll start cutting off pieces. Better yet, I’ll come and make you do it.”
As Rick and the crew are freed and are walking back to their camp. Maggie says she wants revenge on Negan. Rick quickly says no, we can’t. It’ll be a while before we see the “badass” Rick back again.
I think this episode will be a little slow honestly. It’s going to be showing the crew looking to Rick for revenge plans, and Rick telling them he doesn’t run things anymore, Negan does. We should be meeting King Ezekiel in this episode, which I’m excited about. I also hope to see Jesus in this episode, he’s probably my favorite now since Abraham is gone. Mainly this next episode will be the crew adjusting and recovering.Follow us!
