Senator Rand Paul (R. KY) again said what we are all thinking on the Senate floor earlier today.
While on the Senate floor on Tuesday, Rand Paul held a fiery almost 9 minute speech calling out the Democrats hypocrisy and ridiculous attempt to remove a non-sitting President. He called the impeachment trial “illegal” due to a Supreme Court Justice not residing over the trial, which is against the constitution.
The Senate just voted on my constitutional point of order. 45 Senators agreed that this sham of a “trial” is unconstitutional. That is more than will be needed to acquit and to eventually end this partisan impeachment process.This “trial” is dead on arrival in the Senate.
“No Democrat will honestly ask whether Bernie Sanders incited the shooter that nearly killed Steve Scalis,” Rand said referring to the Bernie Sanders supporter who shot a Republican representative back in 2017.
“No Democrat will ask whether Cory Booker incited violence when he called for his supporters to ‘get up in their face’ of congress people,” Rand continued.
“No Democrat will ask whether Maxine Waters incited violence when she literally told her supporters and I quote ‘if you see a member of the Trump administration at a restaurant, at a department store, at a gas station, or any place you create a crowd and you push back on them.’ Is that not incitement?” Rand exclaimed.
