Least amount of confirmed cabinet members since Washington
Democrats in the senate are doing everything in their power to make President Trump’s first 100 days in office as difficult as possible. The senate has only confirmed 6 picks out of Trump’s 15. At this time Barack Obama had all but three of this picks, and George W. Bush had all but one. The Democrats are dragging there feet to try and slow everything down because of there disdain for President Trump.
President Trump’s Cabinet Picks Who’ve Been Confirmed So Far…
John Kelly was confirmed as United States secretary of Homeland Security on January 20th, the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Also being confirmed on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration was James Mattis, the new secretary of Defense.
The next cabinet nominee to be confirmed was Nikki Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
Finally, the most recent cabinet nominee to be confirmed was Elaine Chao, secretary of Transportation.
Rex Tillerson, Trump’s nominee for secretary of State, was confirmed by the Senate on February 1st.
Betsy DeVos was confirmed as Education secretary on February 7th.
This is historic, and not in a good way. Democrats continue to implode, and dig their selves deeper and deeper into the hole. Many of Trump’s nominee’s are highly qualified, and should pass through with no issues. President Donald Trump needs his cabinet fully in place in order to start making America great again! It’s very sad that the people who hold power in the senate (not all of them) are playing politics and these childish games.
