NFC Championship Preview: Packers @ Falcons5 minute read

The Green Bay Packers take on the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday in the NFC championship game. I expect this to be a shoot out as both teams defenses struggle. Let’s dive into the preview.

Matt Ryan struggles in the post season.

Matty Ice as they call him seems to get cold feet went playing in the playoffs. Last week Matt Ryan got his second career win in the post season. Ryan has thrown only 12 touchdowns to 7 interceptions in his playoff career. He may have the advantage on offensive fire power, but he definitely doesn’t have the edge on experience or talent.

Nelson, Adams and Allison all listed as questionable.

The Packers star wide receiver Jordy Nelson is still dealing with 2 fractured ribs from the illegal hit that happened in the Wild Card round against the Giants. To top it off Devante Adams and Geronimo Allison are both listed as questionable to play on Sunday. Most likely Adams and Allison will play, but Nelson most likely wont. The weight is going to be on veteran number two Randall Cobb, Jeff Janis and both tight ends Jared Cook and Richard Rodgers.

Falcons has a terrible defense.

I keep hearing all of this talk about how bad the Packers defense is, but what people are forgetting is how much worse the Falcons defense is, they’re ranked 27th in the league. One thing the Falcons do well is get after the quarterback, they have a talented front. But they only have 3 sacks so far in the post season, and we have one of the best offensive lines.
