Terror Strikes in a Turkish Art Gallery at Ankara. Andrei Karlov,  was attending a art show in Ankara, when he was shot twice from behind while at a podium getting ready to address a crowd. The Shooter was standing right behind Karlov  when he opened fire on the ambassador and started yelling don’t forget Alepo,  shouted “Allahu Akbar,” Arabic for “God is great.” right after the shooting.

What We know So far is that the Shooter Acted alone, and that he was a 22 year old off duty cop named  Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş, and was later killed in a shootout with police. The Gunman did cry out phrases for Syria and condemning Russia’s Military role in Syria. The Leaders of both Countries did come out and say that the attack was to try to disrupt any attempt to repair ties between the two countries. Turkey has been getting used to such attacks, Kurdish militants claimed responsibility for Dec. 10 bombings in Istanbul that killed 44 people, many of them police. Russian President Vladimir Putin was quoted in saying “We must know who was directing the killer,”

Many Say that the Killer has ties to the Muslim Extremist, group and acted as a lone wolf.

So is this the new reality around the world, random acts of terror to make a statement,  just a few hours later Berlin Germany, was also victims of a random act of terror, as a Truck ran over 59 people at a Christmas Market, Killing 9 and injuring 50 others. Maybe new security Measures need to be set in place, maybe better security checks and screenings. In the coming days we will be running through a lot questions and answers about this topic.
